What’s Left - A beginning, almost three years later
Hello, I’m Ana -
a plant-based chef and writer. Some of you might know me from my Instagram or my cookbook. It’s been about two or three years since I last shared regularly.
Back then, just as my book was published, I had a surgery and since then, I’ve been trying to find my way back into the food world. I still live with some food intolerances that made me step away, even though food has always been a deep passion and a domain I know and love. I kept reading, learning, and thinking about it and it feels natural now to return.
What I hope for this comeback is to keep things light; this will be a space to share thoughts and explore food, culture, memory, and everything in between. I am also curious about rediscovering what’s left after these years away: the recipes that stayed, the ideas that shifted, and the new ones still forming.
I want this to be a slower, more intentional space. No reels, no trends, no chasing algorithms.
In between the casual recipes, you’ll also probably find glimpses into my everyday life: thoughts shaped by the films I watch, the books I read, and other things we need to talk about. I want this space to feel intimate and connected, to reflect that and be more than just a collection of recipes. Because food is never just food - it's always connected to how we live, what we feel and what we carry.
Anyway, if that sounds like your kind of place, I’d love for you to subscribe to my new substack and join me. And if you’ve been here before — welcome back. I’ve missed this.
More soon,
Ana
